Southern Industrial Contractors, Inc., of Bay Springs will host their annual cook-out in honor of our nation's best this Saturday, May 15 in Bay Springs. For SID and owner Keith Blakeney, this will be the 20-year anniversary of the cook-out for veterans. Registration and social is scheduled from noon until 4:00 p.m., and the program will begin at 4:00.

This year's event is being held in memory of CPL Dustin Jerome Lee, who was fatally wounded March 21, 2007, in Fallujah, Iraq. Special exhibits from Deep South Military Vehicle Club & Bay Springs National Guard Unit 204 will be displayed, and special guests will include Colonel Glenn D. Frazier, survivor of the Bataan Death March; artist Damon Hendrix, Elvis impersonator; and CPL Dustin Lee's K-9 "Lex."

The event will be held at #6 Jimmy Aycock Drive, which is located right off Hwy. 15 North in Bay Springs. For additional information call Keith Blakeney at 601.764.3008.
