The Bay Springs Florist held a ribbon cutting on Friday after a move to downtown Bay Springs. The Florist, one of the oldest businesses in Jasper County, will now be located across from Alexanders in Bay Springs. The florist offers an array of services, including, ceramics, silk and fresh flowers and several gift items. The ribbon cutting was held Friday, February 5. Those present at the cutting are pictured above. First row, left to right are: Senator Haskins Montgomery, Kim Hendry, Eddie Brady, Joy Carlisle, Evelyn Ainsworth, Angie Rayner, Joanne Russell, Linda Jones and Ashlynn McMullan. Others at the event are pictured in the back: Lela Bryan with Economic Development, Jasper County Supervisor Johnny Rowell, Bay Springs Mayor J.E. Smith, Barbara Brown, Helen Lee, Betty Carol Robinson and Pastor Rusty Stockman. Door prize winners were Stella Ishee, Clara Johnson, Cebell Carmichael, Joan McNair, Sabrina McCullum, Dione McAndrews, Lynn Scott, Catt Ivey, Charles James, Danny Goodin and Judy Smith.
