Jones County sheriff deputies continue to combat Methamphetamine, the most popular drug in Jones County, as Mississippi Department of Public Safety officials lobby legislators for a new law to slow down the Meth epidemic throughout the state. Jones County has a huge problem as it relates to the manufacturing of Methamphetamine; however, law enforcement officers will continue to aggressively pursue those who chose to manufacture this drug.

In their pursuit to combat this drug, Jones County sheriff deputies were successful in seizing yet another Meth lab in Jones County Wednesday that landed the arrest of two suspects for their alleged involvement in manufacturing Meth. The arrests came after a lengthy investigation. Sheriff Alex Hodge identified the suspects charged as 65-year-old Doyle Moore of Moselle and 32-year-old Jennifer Trotter, with a last known address of Seminary. Moore was arrested in 2008 on a similar charge.

Major Robbie Suber added, “The tips and information received from concerned citizens along with assistance from Metro Narcotics was very instrumental in placing these suspects in custody.”

They were booked in the Jones County Adult Detention Facility.
