CSM Ron Read and Col. Robert Thomas––were two of the speakers at the event. CSM Read called out the name of those veterans who have been lost in combat and since returning home. Col. Thomas spoke of his experience at Abu Ghirab prison and the dangers that today’s soldiers face.
A large crowd showed for the program of the event.
Major General William Freeman, Jr., reported the success of the National Guard in Mississippi and how recruitment numbers are still increasing.
