Zax Grill holds grand opening

Thursday, owners Zack and Trichi Murphy celebrated the grand opening of Zax Grill, located at the northwest entrance to the Sawmill Square Mall across from LaFiesta Bravo. The Murphys have merged all the delicious beverages from Jivin Java, like the “Bodacious Blonde” and the “Turtle Temptress,” with the menu of Zax’s Grill. Zax Grill is open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday.  You can dine in or carry out. Attending the grand opening ribbon-cutting were,  L-R: Wanda Benson, city of Laurel public relations; Sierra Temple and Memrie Bynum, Zax Grill employees; Bill Mullins, Sawmill Square Mall manger; Zach and Trichi Murphy, owners; Ben Cole, Regions Bank and Chamber ambassador; Patrick Scoggins, JCJC and Chamber ambassador; and Faye Jackson, EDA Board member.
