Two arrested in meth lab bust

Two Stringer men were arrested Tuesday, June 22 after a search warrant was executed in Stringer. Jasper County deputies executed a search warrant at the home of Christopher Cody Hammons, 24, who was apprehended. During the search was Jeremy J. Hammons, 29, of 63 CR 195 was also arrested.

According to Jasper County deputies, Jeremy Hammons was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of precursors with intent to manufacture meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $140,000.

Christopher Hammons was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possess of precursors with intent to manufacture meth. His bond was set at $90,000.

As of Tuesday, July 13, both men remained in custody of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department.
