The service also recognized war casualties and veterans who have since passed away. The event was held in memory of Cpl. Dustin Jerome Lee of Meridian. Lee was killed in action in Fallujah, Iraq on March 21, 2007. His parents, Jerome and Rachel Lee, along with Lee’s K-9 partner, Lex were in attendance.
