Marge Fenton, 79, died early Sunday morning at her home with her close family in attendance. A memorial service will be held 2:00 Tuesday at Evangel Temple with pastor Paul Edwards officiating. Family and friends are invited to Marge’s home at 724 W. 13th Street immediately following the service; in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ms. Fenton, daughter of the late George and Marjorie Fenton of Jackson, MS, is preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Enzweiler, and two sisters: Joyce Nelson of Pearl, MS, and Della Cornelius of Panama City, FL. Ms. Fenton was born outside of Chicago, IL, and was a resident of Laurel from 1966 until 1974. While in Laurel, she worked with the Circuit Clerk’s office and was an active member of Gamma Iota. She returned to Laurel from Ridgeland, MS, in 2004 and worked at Pine Belt Mental Health with the people she lovingly called “students.”

She is survived by her children: Michael Enzweiler of Jackson, MS, Kathy Collins of

Laurel, MS, Debbie Holifield and husband Rusty Holifield of Ellisville, MS, and Suzette

Crisswell of Little Rock, AR. She shared a close relationship with her grandson Robert

Collins and his wife, Janet Collins. In addition, Ms. Fenton has eight other grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren Memory Chapel is in charge of services.
